I have to do an assignment for a uni module that requires a survey/market research and was wondering if there was an online service that could host this.
Is there such a thing as a free web service for producing online surveys?
You may find what you are looking for at bravenet- a great site with lots of free things. You have to become a member, but it's free to do so and only requires minimum details and they have never sent me loads of spam either.

Reply:No. You have to pay for it. SurveyMonkey http://www.surveymonkey.com charges $19.95 per month for 1,000 respondents (you are charged a few cents for over 1,000 respondents).
But it is worth the fee -- they will tabulate the results for you in real time (except for the open ended questions) and you can run the survey in several ways: as a popup; as an email or as a text link on your site.

i used it last year for one of my university yr 2 modules. its free for 30 days then you have to pay to analyse any results after that
